What Is It?

Just as all the kids are heading back to school, Microsoft has released security bulletins that affect most of their customers, including users of Microsoft Office for the Macintosh, and users of Office 2000.

What Should You Do?

If you use Office 2000 or Office 2004 for the Macintosh, please visit the appropriate location, shown below. Download and install the software found there.

  • Select the appropriate download package for your language.
• Office 2000, US English version: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/downloads/default.aspx
• Office 2000, all other versions: http://office.microsoft.com/

Users of Office XP, Office 2003, Windows XP, and Windows Server 2003 should have already received these updates through the Microsoft Update service, if you have configured it to download and install updates automatically, as we recommend. To verify, you may visit the Windows Update Web site, at http://update.microsoft.com/. and run the wizard.

• http://update.microsoft.com/ is the Microsoft Update Web site, which you should visit from time to time, to be certain that all required updates have been installed, and to check for important non-security updates, such as the root certificate update that was posted this month.
